 Learn a brand new choreography to a fantastic drum solo, choreographed and taught by Mahtaab. This is a rare opportunity to learn from one of the best dancers of the Nazeem Allayl Studios!

Samba Belly Drum Solo!

Egypt meets Brazil in this drum solo that features a whole lot of fabulous bellydance shimmying with a touch of Samba style and just a smidgeon of Vegas showgirl sexiness.  We'll be dancing, prancing and posing to a short but dramatic drum solo by Hossam Ramzy, a famous Egyptian percussionist who artfully blends Middle Eastern rhythms with spicy Latin beats. In this workshop, you'll learn sharp bellydance isolations, a basic Samba Reggae step and an Earth-shaking layered shimmy.  Bring your diva-tude and be prepared for an awesome workout!

What is a drum solo?

A drum solo means the orchestra is silent, and only the drummer is playing an energetic rhythm, while the dancer is showcasing her skills to the audience. A drum solo is clearly the highlight of any performance.

Professional Dancer and Nazeem Allayl Member Mahtaab  joined our dance company in 2007. She sharpened her skills performing at numerous appearances at various restaurants in and around Atlanta, at countless parties, and many shows. Mahtaab is a senior teacher within our company; besides countless classes at the beginner and intermediate level, she has taught many special topics workshops including Fanveil, Sword, Drum Solo, many choreographies and technique workshops, and much more.

Note: This workshop is being taught at the Windy Hills Studio. It is for women only, ages 16 and over.
